This summer he’s playing High Sierra Music Festival, Joshua Tree Music Festival… and the City of Davis July 4th Celebration!
Rainbow City Park, named for the play structure right in Community Park where we host this show, is an indie-rock band from Northern California, blending the emotional grit of ‘90s alternative rock with the introspective songwriting of today’s indie scene. Drawing inspiration from artists like Paramore, DIIV, and Pinegrove, the band crafts guitar-driven songs that balance atmosphere, melody, and raw energy.

Formed in early 2022, the band consists of Danielle Judith (lead vocals, guitar), Chris O’Keefe (guitar), Nick Nassab (guitar, vocals), Ryan Williams (drums), and Jake Kaspari (bass). Shortly after forming, RCP began touring extensively throughout Northern California, quickly earning a reputation for their energetic live performances and strong musical chemistry. They finished their year supporting Japanese Breakfast and The National Parks at Sacramento’s Farm-to-Fork Festival.
In 2023, they released “Broken Record / Dad Jeans” and “Convince You”, continuing to refine their sound while maintaining a busy tour schedule including supporting Wild Child at Sacramento’s Concerts in the Park.
In early 2024, “Valentine’s Day 1999” was released to critical acclaim and high praise from the West Coast indie scene. Frontwoman Danielle Judith explores themes of existentialism and family in this ethereal tune. In support of the release, the band toured throughout California, sharing stages with Royel Otis, Katy Kirby, Ben Nicholas of Lucero, Wilt, Mom Cars, Couch Dog, and Sour Widows.
That spring, the group held a weeklong residency at the Panoramic House with producer Mike Davis to record their debut EP. The resulting five-song collection blends washy guitars, dynamic percussion, and intimate lyricism centered on growth and desire. Fall 2024 singles “Complicate This” and “Overgrown“ offered an early glimpse into the collection to come.
The band released their debut EP, Fruitless on February 4th, 2025. Following a series of sold-out hometown shows, RCP embarked on a West Coast tour, reaching new audiences throughout California and the Pacific Northwest. To begin 2026, they shared a live version of “Water Under The Bridge” and has since returned to the studio, currently working on new material to be released this spring.
“Sometimes things just click, music melds, and something special comes together. This was the case for Rainbow City Park… an indie band that is taking off right in our backyard” – The Dirt
