On Sunday, November 18th DLMC closed out its inaugural season in fine and fitting fashion, hosting three rising artists at downtown’s G Street WunderBar.
Matt Sheehy’s Lost Lander nearly stole the show from the start with their blend of edgy pop and practiced harmonies. The quartet stayed on stage to back tour co-headliner Laura Gibson, whose voice gave haunted life to a beautiful set.
But the evening belonged to Typhoon. The dynamic 11 piece indie-rock orchestra rocked the sold-out crowd, filling the WunderBar with an enthusiasm for live music that DLMC was made to foster. Follow this link to see Rik Keller’s photos of the fun.
Thanks to everyone who came out to enjoy the show, we hope to see you next time – keep an eye out here for what’s coming next. Thanks also to Kevin for the heads up, to the folks at WunderBar and Electron ProAudio, to The Davis Dirt and KDRT for all their support. A big thanks to DLMC’s Danny, Sara, Ruth and Roger for putting everything together and keeping folks happy, and to John, Kelly, Scott, and David for their smiling faces at the door.
Most of all thanks to the musicians and crew for bringing their tour to DLMC. You’re welcome back anytime!
