The Davis Live Music Collective is partnering with Solomon’s Delicatessen, Submerge Magazine and KDVS 90.3FM to put on “Rock The Vote,” a free concert from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 20, at the Davis Commons grassy plaza, 500 First St.
The purpose is to highlight local live music while providing an opportunity for community members to register to vote before the Oct. 22 deadline.
Volunteers and additional resources will be available to help new voters get registered and for existing voters to update their registration information, if needed.
Featured artists include: San Francisco-based King Dream, fresh off their new self-titled release; Sacramento-based artists Black Yacht Club, Las Pulgas and Jessica Malone; and Davis-based artists Bomba Fried Rice and The Midnight Dip (also with a new release).
KDVS DJs will provide musical interludes between bands.
